American tenor Robert White was born in New York on 27th October 1936. I first heard “Bird Songs at Eventide” from English composer Eric Coates on Robert White’s album of the same name. Lovely accompaniment from Stephen Hough.

Sarah Morgan R.I.P.
So sad to learn of the death of Sarah Morgan at the weekend. Best known for her work with harmony groups, Craig Morgan Robson and the Hen Party she was a beautiful presence on the English folk and community choir scene. She will be greatly missed. Here’s her song, Keep You In Peace, sung by Craig Morgan Robson. With typical generosity, the lead is sung by another of the members of the group, Moira; Sarah is on the right in this video.
